Therapeutic Approaches

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR helps people process and heal from distressing memories and experiences. Using guided eye movements (or other forms of side-to-side stimulation), EMDR helps the brain "reprocess" difficult memories so they lose their emotional charge and no longer feel as overwhelming.

Non-Violent Resistance (NVR)

NVR is a therapeutic approach that empowers parents and caregivers to address aggressive or harmful behaviours in children through peaceful, consistent strategies, promoting positive change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that helps individuals manage challenges by identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours to improve emotional well-being.

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

CFT helps individuals develop self-compassion, reducing shame and self-criticism. It promotes emotional healing by fostering kindness and understanding toward oneself.

LGBTQ* Counselling

LGBTQ+ counselling provides a supportive, affirming space for individuals exploring sexual orientation and/or gender identity, addressing challenges like discrimination, self-acceptance, and relationship issues.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps individuals embrace thoughts and feelings without judgment while focusing on actions aligned with their values, promoting psychological flexibility and well-being.
